What
we do:
Oklahoma
Community Televisions (OCT) primary focus is to
receive the signals of Oklahoma City TV stations and rebroadcast
an improved signal which can be received within homes using
standard roof-top and set-top antennas in Western Oklahoma.
This type of broadcasting is also known as over-the-air
television.
How
we do it:
To
provide this service, OCT owns, operates and maintains
six towers located throughout Western Oklahoma, ranging in
height from 200 to 400 feet.
Each tower has a high-powered antenna designed to receive
the signals broadcast from the Oklahoma City television stations.
The signal is improved and rebroadcast to surrounding communities
on UHF channels right to your home antenna.
To provide this service, OCT has made a sizeable investment
in equipment and holds 38 licenses from the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC).
Why
should you subscribe:
When
minutes can save lives, as in times of severe weather, natural
disasters or national security events, cable and satellite
services may not be available or reliable... so maintaining
our service is very important for you and your family.
Plus
OCT transmits your favorite broadcast channels too - like
ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PAX, UPN, WB and Trinity.
To
continue receiving our broadcasting:
Oklahoma
Community Television is committed to the operation and
maintenance of the radio frequency equipment, the towers and
tower sites for its six Western Oklahoma locations. To ensure
ongoing service, OCT relies on valuable viewers like
you for operational support. Your annual subscription of $89.00
works to help deliver critical, local and national information
to families across Western Oklahoma, as well as national broadcast
programming, and serves to keep Oklahomans connected and informed.
REMEMBER
Without OCT, Western Oklahoma would not have standard
over-the-air television!
Thank
you for watching... and for your support.
